Project: Create a proposal for the Design Senior Thesis gallery show identity.
This project was a collaboration with James Coviello.
Meraki is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love — when you “leave a piece of yourself” in your work. Our visual identity system is inspired by music and design from 1960s and 1970s. Decades that we believe represent the soul, creativity, and love that meraki describes.
This logo was inspired by the font Baby Teeth designed by Milton Glaser in 1964, inspired by a hand painted sign in Mexico City. Glaser used the design for his famous Bob Dylan poster in 1966.
For our identity proposal we created a poster and postcard design and a website mockup.
This animation was proposed to be on a loop projected outside of the gallery.
